Who is Tracy Reed?
I am an information infrastructure architect, Linux enthusiast, a pilot, and a traveller. I work for Copilot Computing where we do really cool things with technology. I am interested in all aspects of computing and technology in general, especially Linux. As an avid pilot I can be found somewhere over the skies of the southwestern US most weekends. As a traveller I have been all over the world. Check out my photo gallery. Want to get me something cool? Check out my Amazon.com wishlist!

s3-backup.py

Topics
s3-backup.py uploads Bacula (backup software) file volumes to Amazon S3 for safe, cheap, easy off-site storage. I'm crazy about backups. This is part of my disaster recovery plan. "If it wasn't backed up it wasn't important." - Me

San Diego Aviation History in my own back yard

Topics
The former Hourglass Field is a block away from my place and served an important role in aviation training in San Diego, hosted drag races, caused a riot involving 3000 people on El Cajon Blvd, and is now almost completely forgotten as strip malls and housing take over the landscape.

Silence On The Wire

Topics
Some months ago a fellow KPLUGger won the book "Silence On The Wire" at a raffle. The book publishers are very kind and send us books as long as we provide feedback in the form of a review. My friend wasn't so into security books so he gave it to me having noticed it was on my Amazon.com wishlist.
